Some things about parenthood seem impossible at the onset. As a mommy I wonder how I’ll get that little person to pee in the potty, how to get M&M to sleep through the night, how many bins of summer clothes I have to put away, how these sweet little heads can hold so much hair. As a homeschooling mom, I wonder how to teach them that “a” sounds like the “a” in cat except for all those times it doesn’t, how to get them from preschool to college, how diagramming reveals the great mysteries of life, and how to convince them that math isn’t of the devil. But I don’t have to wait long for “my soul to look back in wonder”—I know how I get over. For surely the same God who set the stars in the sky can get me through hair day. “I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1, 2
